This is probably the cheapsest guitar on this site, I got it for $85 to have as a second electric but got bored with it and modifed it a bit. First I sanded the top off and oiled it, then I replaced the strap buttons with far bigger screws and washers and made it permanently on so I could learn to do throws without it flying off. Then I replaced the machine head of the G with one I had lying around for more tuning stability while bending strings. After that I put a block of wood (teak) in the bridge to hardtail it, and removed the springs for increased sustain, and wired the pickups in series for a humbucker sound, before finally buying a set of pro steels off you for better tone.

This is my baby, its a JS1000 I bought over 20 years ago when the Joe Satriani signature models came out. Dimarzio pickups and floyd rose trem, I have never had to service it or do anything but change strings and it sounds as sweet as the day I bought it.

Hi, So this is my own attemp to try out the relic look on this cheap legend strat. Took me ages to sandpaper away the paint and the color is from shoewax! Well guess it's far from being close but after I put a set of texas special pickups thanks to My engineer friend Andy and the red pick guard it kind of grows on me. Now I really like the sound and the feel of this guitar. Even this is guitar cost me the least but it's my favoriate guitar to play :)
